Description

Magical views over the Pyrenees await you at this highly respected family-run vineyard, specializing in award-winning white and sparkling wines. Limoux is known as the ‘fizz capital’ of the Languedoc, ever since medieval Benedictine monks discovered the secret of the second fermentation in the bottle. Rives-Blanques continues this tradition with pride. Their wines are blessed with a wonderful balance of fruit and freshness, thanks to the vineyard’s unique high-altitude location right on the cusp of Mediterranean and Atlantic influences. They include wines made from the local mauzac grape, an historic variety dating back to the Renaissance, as well as chenin blanc and the vineyard’s trademark chardonnay. The Tuesday Talk, Tour and Tutored Tasting (in English) takes you through the vineyard and the winery (by appointment).
