A virtuoso violinist and rising star of the classical scene, Esther Abrami will captivate the Château Comtal with her playing—sensitive, modern, and radiant.
The renowned violinist and social media sensation Esther Abrami unveiled the release of her highly anticipated new album, “Women”, on April 25, 2025, under Sony Classical. This album pays tribute to female composers across history and musical genres, showcasing the extraordinary talent of 14 remarkable women. It blends unreleased works and forgotten masterpieces, featuring Oscar-winning composers like Rachel Portman and Anne Dudley, as well as fresh interpretations of pieces by historical figures such as Pauline Viardot, Chiquinha Gonzaga, Teresa Carreño, and Ethel Smyth.
The album also includes “Transmission”, an original composition by Esther Abrami, who also arranged several tracks for the project. At its core, “Women” presents the world premiere recording of Ina Boyle’s Violin Concerto, a moving composition from the late Romantic era.
Every piece selected by Esther Abrami for “Women” was chosen not only for its musical richness but also for the emotional connection it holds for her, amplifying the voices of women too often overlooked in classical music history.
