Narbonne is more than just a typically southern city with little streets and squares lined with plane trees and a cathedral you can spot from a great distance… it also has beaches, the Mediterranean Sea and… nature!
Need some sun, warmth and bright light? Look no further, the beach is just 10 minutes away from the town.

Massif de la Clape

You can reach Narbonne-Plage via a 15-kilometre road across the Massif de la Clape. This road is your link between Narbonne town and the beach resort. The horizon and 5 km of beaches stretch before you.

The Massif de la Clape, this protected natural space which was an island in Roman times, is the perfect place for walkers to enjoy the beauty of the fragrant garrigue or the rolling vineyards.

The beach

As the name suggests, Narbonne-Plage is the place to be for its vast beach of golden sand. You’ll appreciate it for an invigorating walk in winter, on a day when the wind is light. In summer you can sunbathe peacefully and just relax, or go and have fun at Aquajet!
The kids will love it!
In spring, don’t miss the Natur’ailes giant kite display on the beach, a real sight to behold.

Sports activities

Sports activities for adults and children: the watersports centre offers a whole range of activities during the holiday season: kitesurfing, jetskiing, fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, windsurfing, sandyachting, etc.

But there’s also plenty for both novices and seasoned athletes to do in the Massif de la Clape: climbing, hiking or mountain biking.

La Clape wine tasting

This small wine region has plenty of wine estates where you can taste the wine or buy a few bottles of AOC Côteaux du Languedoc “La Clape” or “Quatourze”, as well as AOC Corbières wines.

The marina

Narbonne-Plage is also a marina, with 600 berths and a harbour master’s office. This means pleasure boaters can fully enjoy the pleasures of the Mediterranean, to which they have instant access. Thanks to the marina facilities, you can also enjoy club activities such as scuba diving, sailing, fishing and cruises. And even for spectators, the goings-on of a busy little port is always a pleasant sight.
