Description
The Village of Villasavary has taken a novel approach to promoting the heart of the village and its historic and architectural heritage: digital signage and information panels, and devices for virtual tours of the main village attractions.
Visitors can now use their tablet or smartphone to discover the heritage of the village with its panoramic views, archival documents and 360-degree views of the inside of buildings. Just scan the QR codes arranged along the route at points of interest. So your physical tour can be paralleled by a virtual tour that can be taken in two ways:
– on the Internet with views that are not easily accessible or places that are closed to visitors (the choir and bell tower at the church, the Moulin de la Glacière mill, etc…)
– on connected tablets and smartphones. Users have access to archives, old photos, captioned views etc.
