Description

Standing at an altitude of 1,207 metres, erected on the top of its “pog” (rocky spur), the Château de Montségur, surrounded by the “castrum” from the Cathar period, offers an outstanding view of the Pyrénées.
In the village, the museum, a listed Musée de France, features a collection of archaeological objects dating back to the Middle Ages. Admission to the castle includes access to the museum.
