Description
On a hiking and art trail that opens onto the vast landscape of the Hautes-Corbières, the Mayronnes sculpture trail presents contemporary sculptures in the open air, between vineyards and scrubland, rooted in the landscape and in harmony with nature.
This trail is free and the walking is easy.
In this exceptional natural setting, the aim is to promote contemporary sculpture in all its diversity and to make the link between artistic creation and rural life, and between nature and sculpture. Here, art poses questions about the human condition, our relationship with the world and with nature. The sculpture trail is open to all forms of quality contemporary work (sculptures, installations, land art …) that show real creativity.
It is not aligned with or controlled by any ideology, fashion or artistic authority, commercial or institutional. It aims to actively resist the dumbing-down of thoughts and feelings, and both ancient and modern forms of conformity.
