Description

Granted « Most beautiful villages in France », the narrow stone-paved streets of this medieval city hide architectural gems from the XIVth and XVth century : Saint Michel’s Church, the medieval covered market, the old bridge, the fortifications, the stone façades,… La Maison du Patrimoine (House of Heritage) is the shelter to a beautiful exhibit about Languedoc’s medieval painted ceilings. Lagrasse lies in an amphetheater-shaped valley, formed by the river Orbieu. At the heart of the village, workshops and craftsmen’s shops line the streets.
