Description

In the heart of the medieval citadel of Carcassonne, the School Museum allows children, parents, teachers and others to explore the atmosphere of the local school at the time of the 3rd and 4th Republic: a period rich in history for primary schools. The five rooms of the museum show all the teaching resources used in schools (from 1880 to the 1960s). Don’t miss the exceptional collection of old projectors. This is an interactive experience in which everyone can have a go at writing with nib pens. Library devoted to recollections of school; Centre for Studies and Research into Primary Education in France. Annual exhibition.

Spoken languages : English, Spanish
