Description
Château Prat de Cest has been in the family since 1803. The castle is an ancient fortified square on the ancient Via Domitia. It was built by Aimery II in the early 12th century to defend Narbonne. The castle features a Visigoth chapel dating back to the 6th century. The castle has been in the same family for nine generations.
Wine sales all year round: red, VDP Oc rosé/ PDO Corbières. The stony limestone-clay soil with Grenache/Syrah (Carignan).
Historical visits possible (book by phone 24 hours in advance) and sale of local wines and products during cellar opening hours. Note: bookings by telephone required from early September to late June.
