Accessibility and eco-design of the audetourisme.com website
Eco-design of the website
Approach
As part of a digital sustainability approach, we are working to reduce the environmental impact of the audetourisme.com website.
The actions implemented include:
- optimizing page weight
- compressing and resizing images
- limiting technical resources
- improving loading performance
- adopting a mobile-first design tailored to user needs
Monitoring indicators
We regularly monitor the environmental performance of the website based on a selection of representative pages (including the homepage), using analysis tools such as EcoIndex.
Additional technical analysis tools are used to identify areas for improvement, particularly in terms of page weight, loaded resources and performance.
Current analyses show:
- an average page weight between 2 and 3 MB
- an average number of requests between 50 and 70
- an environmental score indicating room for improvement
These indicators are monitored on a monthly basis to track progress and guide optimisation efforts.
Analysis and areas for improvement
Our analyses show that the website still has room for improvement, particularly in terms of:
- image weight
- number of loaded resources
- optimization of editorial content
Optimizations are currently being implemented to gradually reduce these impacts.
Continuous improvement
The Aude Tourism Development Agency is committed to a continuous improvement approach.
The actions carried out aim to:
- improve accessibility for all users
- enhance website performance
- reduce environmental impact
- integrate these challenges into internal practices
This page is regularly updated to reflect progress.
