Description

Pianist and singer Ulf Sandstrom, leader of one of the most important Swedish groups in the Boogie Woogie genre, is a true “entertainer”. On stage, his energy, charisma, and polyglot talent (he speaks several languages, including some basic French) captivate audiences across Europe.

Surrounded by a top-notch team including guitarist Francky Gumbo, a seasoned rhythm section of double bass and drums, and a couple of world champion dancers, he enthusiastically pays tribute to one of the pioneers of rock’n roll, the creator of some of the first hits of this music, the inimitable Jerry Lee Lewis.

A show based on the repertoire played by the one nicknamed “The Killer” for his ability to raise the atmosphere wherever he performed: “Great Balls of Fire”, “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On”, “Breathless”, etc.

During the premiere of this show in August 2023, they set the audience of the La Baule Jazz Festival on fire: A scorching dive into the 50s!

Co-production: Jean-Michel Boyer Association, Rotary Club Doyen Carcassonne, and the City of Carcassonne in support of children from Aude affected by serious pathologies.
