Description

Conducted by Nicholas Carter – Soloist: Marie Nicole Lemieux

The Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse returns to the Carcassonne 2024 Festival, for a new exceptional performance! Born in the 1960s of the fusion between the Orchestre du Capitole and the Orchestre symphonique de Toulouse-Pyrénées, the Orchestre national du Capitole is regularly invited on the most prestigious stages during international tours: Musikverein de Vienne, Berlin Philharmonic, Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, and Suntory Hall in Tokyo. In France, the Orchestre du Capitole regularly performs in major Parisian venues – Philharmonie de Paris, Théâtre des Champs Élysées – but also in the Occitanie region, reinforcing its local roots and its openness to new audiences. We can thus find the orchestra in its historic hall of the Halle aux Grains in Toulouse, where it offers a rich symphonic season while ensuring the lyrical and choreographic season of the Théâtre du Capitole.
